Certified Birth Doula,
Expressive Arts Therapist and
Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
With 25 years of extensive experience with a variety of clinical populations, I have found a true love of working with women and I focus on 3 specialty areas.
I’ve been working as a therapist since 1999. I’ve worked in community mental health, outpatient mental health clinics, in psychiatric emergency services and currently have been working full time in private practice since 2010.
Our Services
-
Therapy
I work with individual clients who identify as women. I primarily work with women in the birthing years on issues related to fertility, loss, birth trauma and peripartum mood and anxiety disorders.
-
Birth Doula Services
I offer a range of services from pregnancy support to Full Spectrum Doula services that include two home visits prior to your birth, on call support starting at 32 weeks, in person support from active labor through the birth, and a post partum follow up visit. Also included are meditation and yoga practice along the way.
-
Yoga
I offer 1 to 1 private yoga sessions to individuals. Yoga is also a perfect partner to traditional therapy and to the work of preparing for the birth of your baby.
“Elizabeth is a compassionate listener who provides effective strategies to support personal growth and development. She supports deep self reflection and engagement in addressing the true source of my anxieties and helping me find concrete ways to effectively deal with them.”
A recent email from a long time client through many transitions in her life:
“Just wanted to drop a quick note to wish you Happy Holidays. I read a piece online recently about a new mom who was struggling, and it reminded me of how grateful I am for everything that you did for me postpartum with both my children. I’ve been using all the things you’ve taught me and doing really well these days. Both of my “big” boys are doing great-they love having a present mom who is feeling good!”
